The Ottawa Hospital Academic Family Health Team is part of a teaching hospital. We are partnered with the University of Ottawa to train current and future medical doctors undergoing their training. We pride ourselves on training medical students, resident doctors, and other healthcare professionals to the highest standard.

Because we are a teaching clinic, you will often be seen by a resident doctor. Residents are doctors who have finished their medical degree and are completing hands-on post-graduate specialty training in Family Medicine. Residents who see patients are directly supervised by the clinic’s attending family doctors.
